This is the third postcard from Koprivnica in my collection. It says Pozdrav iz Kropivnice which means Greetings from Koprivnica.
The town is also home to a number of museums and galleries, most notably the Koprivnica Gallery which houses a collection of Niave style works connected to the nearby Hlebine School. These pieces, from the 1930s onward, are generally known for depicting peasant life and rural scenes through vivid colors. The Town Museum (Gradski Muzej) has a number of archeological and historical displays.
Koprivnica developed significantly in the 20th century with the advent of the Podravka food industry, known worldwide for its Vegeta spice. They even have an alimentary museum of Podravka. Worth mentioning is the annual “motifs of Podravina” event when the whole town becomes a gallery of nai”ve art. Many of the Croatian greatest naive artists come from the villages along the Drava in this county, notably Ivan Generaliæ.

Along the banks of the Koprivnica River is the small town of Koprivnica. The town has a long history, dating back to the 14th Century, but today it revolves around a food processing factory which is the main employer in the town. It is not a major tourist destination but does have some attractions worth seeing. Koprivnica has some beautiful Baroque architecture, including the Franciscan Monastery and the church of St Anthony of Padua, both built in the late 1600s.
The town offers various recreational opportunities, especially on the nearby Drava river and at the so-called “Podravina Riviera” - gravel pit Soderica. Fishing (angling) opportun-ities are provided on the Drava river and in the lakes Soderica, Jegenis, Vidak, etc. Hunting grounds are located in the vicinity of Koprivnica - in the lowlands and at the foot of Kalnik and Bilogora.
The best known hunting grounds are Peski and Repas. Numerous restaurants in the town and its surroundings offer delicious traditional Podravina-style specialities (”prge” - dried and smoked cheese, aspic /jelly/, mushroom soup with buckwheat, “goriski” goulash, etc.).

A town on the left bank of the small river of the same name in the region of Podravina, 70 km southeast of Varazdin; elevation 149 m; population 24,238. Koprivnica got the status of a free royal town in 1356. Economy is based on farming, livestock breeding, food (Podravka), pharmaceutical (Belupo), textile, wood and timber, paper, leather, metal-processing and building material (brickwork) industries.
Koprivnica is the centre of this part of Podravina. The development of tourism in the region is facilitated by rich cultural heritage and powerful economic potential. The town is located at the intersection of the main roads from Zagreb and Varazdin toward Virovitica and Osijek (M3), as well as on the junction of the railroads Budapest - Zagreb and Varazdin - Osijek.

Mali Lošinj is the biggest town on the Adriatic islands, well known for its long tourist tradition. The fact that you can find an isolated beach far from the stress of civilization by taking a 15 - minute walk from the town centre makes this place special. The Mediterranean brings its scents and beauties closer to Europe, and the specific climate characteristics make these islands a perfect place for a holiday throughout the year.
Small picturesque towns, gravelly beaches, numerous green paths and promenades, fine restaurants by the sea and cafés on the quay, comfortable hotels and hospitable people are reasons enough to spend your holiday on Lošinj. The island of Losinj is part of the Cres - Losinj archipelago, the biggest group of islands in the Croatian Adriatic. The Lošinj islands comprise Lošinj, Unije, Ilovik, Susak, Vele Srakane, Male Srakane and 30 other smaller islands, islets and rocks.
