I have uploaded some of the most interesting photos that had been taken during my holidays in June 2007. It was a very interesting trip to Sharm El Sheikh at the Red Sea in Egypt. We have also been to Israel during these holidays to see Jerusalem and Bethlehem. I spent over ten beautiful sunny days in Sea Club Resort in Sharm El Sheikh. Take a look at these photos:

This a bit vintage postcard shows the Mosque of Muhammad Ali is the most popular Islamic mosque among tourists. This mosque is also sometimes referred to as the Alabaster Mosque due to its extensive use of that stone on some of the exterior walls and other surfaces.
The mosque, the largest such structure built during the first half of the 19th century, is more impressive at a distance than close up. Though there its artistic merit is questionable, it is an unparalleled contribution to the skyline of Cairo, visible high atop the Citadel grounds.

A camel driver near the Sphinx and Khafre Pyramid. The Great Sphinx - thismonumental statue, the first truly colossal royal sculpture in Egypt, known as the Great Sphinx, is a national symbol of Egypt. The word “sphinx”, which means ’strangler’, was first given by the Greeks to a fabulous creature which had the head of a woman, the body of a lion and the wings of a bird.
The Great Sphinx is believed to be the most immense stone sculpture in the round ever made by man. The Sphinx faces the rising sun with a temple to the front which resembles the sun temples which were built later by the kings of the 5th Dynasty.
