There are two locations on this postcard from Old Coventry: Ford’s Hospital and Bond’s Hospital. The first one (also called as “almshouse”) provided sheltered accommodation for elderly people and was founded in 1509 by William Ford. The Bond’s Hospital, a half timbered almshouse for elderly men was founded in 1506.
